La Película De Jeremy
The Day After Peace es el más reciente documental galardonado del fundador y presidente de Peace One Day, Jeremy Gilley. Producido en asociación con la BBC y Passion Pictures, la película ha obtenido la licencia para su difusión en 96 países y ha proyectado en festivales de cine y proyecciones especiales públicas en 74 países.
La tercera película de Jeremy, actualmente en producción, está programada para siete transmisiones el fin de semana del 18/19 de septiembre 2010 a 200 países a través de la BBC World. Producida por Jeremy y Jude Law, esta tercera película traza el extraordinario progreso del Día de la Paz desde 2007 y abre el camino para la cuarta película de Jeremy, culminando en el Día de la Paz 2012 contra el telón de fondo de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres.
Jeremy Gilley fue actor antes de fundar Peace One Day en 1999. Se había desilusionado con su trabajo, pero comprendió el potencial que tienen las películas para afectar positivamente a la gente y crear cambios en el mundo. Así que, cuando inició su casi imposible misión en 1999, se llevó una cámara con él. Cada viaje que hizo, cada país que visitó y cada persona que conocío, todo lo captó con la cámara. Acerca de la película
The Day After Peace (Tras el Día de la Paz) traza el notable viaje de 10 años que el galardonado autor cinematográfico Jeremy Gilley hizo para establecer un Día de la Paz al año, el 21 de septiembre. La cámara sigue a Jeremy mientras él incita a los países del mundo a reconocer un día oficial de alto el fuego y no violencia.
Pero, incluso después de que los estados miembros de la ONU adoptaran de forma unánime el Día de la Paz, la lucha no ha terminado. A medida que pasan los años, no se produce ningún alto el fuego. Las voces de los escépticos se están escuchando más – y ahora la organización no lucrativa de Gilley, Peace One Day, se encuentra en serias dificultades financieras. Pero él no puede dejar que fracase.
