It’s Crunch Time

So we are almost 3 months away from the launch of our Global Truce. The 21st June will mark the start of the 3-month countdown to Peace Day 2011 and things are starting to get really exciting.

Thousands of pieces of information are being sent out to mark the 3-month countdown and to get everyone ready for the even bigger countdown for Peace Day 2012.

Things are pretty frantic right now at POD HQ as we are gearing up for and working towards the big day. We have some great events lined up to mark the occasion such as the POD Talks event in London on 16 June with talks from Davina McCall and Ben Fogle.

We hope to get as many schools as possible involved in the Global Truce 2012 campaign and it is our dream that school children from across the world will all be doing something to mark the occasion.

We are hoping to manifest connections, raise finances and raise support to make sure everything is organised for the big campaign.

I really hope that people are going to do something on Peace Day in support of this Global Truce. We really hope that everyone will be involved in this big activity in 2012 no matter what it looks like.

We hope that more people will sign up to that than any other campaign in history, sowing the seeds necessary for Peace Day to be institutionalised as a globally recognised day of truce.

I invite you to do the same; Peace Day will only work if everyone is involved and if everyone gets excited about the idea of a Global Truce.

In peace

Jeremy
