For Peace Day to work, all sectors of society must be represented. In addition to the Global Truce Coalitions and the Global Truce Schools’ Network, Peace One Day is engaged in extensive dialogue with all the different sectors of society from around the world.
We will be working with this global network of partners to build on the successes of 2012 and work towards Global Truce 2013.

Rotary Internationalin Great Britain and IrelandAs Rotary is involved in many ways to promote and create peace, International Peace Day is a very natural cause to support. For Rotarians, peace is a core aim. From taking underprivileged children on great days out, helping improve the appearance of a local neighbourhood to the alleviation of poverty, eradicating disease or helping to resolve conflict, Rotarians are involved at grassroots level to the worldwide stage. This is reinforced by the 2012 Rotary theme of Peace Through Service, unveiled by RI President Sakuji Tanaka. Many Rotarians have already signed up to the Global Truce, pledging to help restore peace and help others to keep the peace.http://www.ribi.org/what-we-do/our-partnerships/international-peace-day-2012 |

Junior Chamber InternationalIn 1915 the founder of JCI Henry Giessenbier declared “From within the walls of the soul of this organization, wherein the foundation of character and citizenship are laid, I hope a message will come forth in the sometime of tomorrow that will stir the people toward the establishment of a permanent and everlasting world peace”. At no time has the propagation of this vision been more relevant than today when the world has watched the escalating violence in every corner around the world. We realise the dream of world peace by working in every community where we are present. As Active Citizens we are part of the solution to the problem and committed to leave a legacy of a better world for the generations to come. Junior Chamber International (JCI) provides development opportunities to empower young people to create positive change in 5,000 communities in 110 countries around the world.
