《国际和平日》是“和平一天”创始人兼主席Jeremy Gilley制作的最新获奖纪录片。
Jeremy Gilley在1999年创办“和平一天”之前曾是演员。他的演艺之梦已经破灭，但是他了解电影能对人们产生积极影响并改变世界。因此，当他1999年开始从事这项几乎不可能完成的任务时，他走到哪里，摄像机就带到哪里。每次旅程、每个访问的国家、每个遇见的人——他都拍了下来。十年来，《国际和平日》讲述着他的故事——“和平一天”的故事。
关于这部电影
《国际和平日》记录了获奖制片人Jeremy Gilley这10年来设立9月21日和平日的不平凡旅程。摄像机陪着Jeremy唤起全世界各国对停战和反对暴力日的了解。
但是尽管联合国成员国一致通过了和平日，这场斗争并未结束。随着时间的流逝，硝烟从未就此停止过。愤世嫉俗者的呼声越来越大——现在Gilley的非营利性组织“和平一天”面临严峻的经济危机。但是他不能让它就此失败。
这部电影的惊人结论促使Gilley与Jude Law共同前往阿富汗，试图在和平日带头进行大规模的脊髓灰质炎接种疫苗。最终和平会胜利吗？人的生命会得救吗？还是愤世嫉俗者的话是对的？
